St Bride’s Primary School opened in Bothwell in 1973 with an extension added in 1994 and is one of 124 primary schools in South Lanarkshire. Unfortunately a fire destroyed the old school in July 2003 and the new St Bride’s building was built with pupils and teachers moving in from January 2005.

Our new school was built on the same site and boasts Administration areas, 8 classrooms, Visiting Services Room, PE Hall/ Stage, ICT Suite/Library. Our Nursery class was originally housed in hutted accomodation but has now been fully integrated into the main school building with two bright playrooms for the children.

In St Bride’s we aim to ensure the highest quality of education is delivered in our school and we hope that by all working together – parents, pupils, staff and Parish our aims will be achieved within a climate of mutual trust and respect. St Bride’s Primary School is very proud of it’s close links with the local Parish and the wider Parish community and will continue to build and strengthen this relationship in the future.

St Bride’s Primary School is a wonderful environment in which to teach and learn.
